Somalia has ratified the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child on the 20th of January 2015. This commitment has been applauded by the International community and the defenders of children’s rights, who are now looking forward to the effective implementation of children's rights in that country. The situation is indeed complicated, from every points of view such as economical, political and social, and the knowledge on the field is lacunar.

To be aware of the situation of children in Somalia, and to know the different stakeholders involved or interested in working there, the RAJO Association and the International Institute for the Rights of the Child have therefore decided to organize a reflection day on November 7th, 2016.

The purposes of that day are:

  • To gather all stakeholders concerned by the rights of the child in Somalia
  • To understand children’s needs in Somalia
  • To be aware of the professional’s training needs in Somalia with the presence of Somali university professors.

Free and open day to every interested person, but please register by: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
